Error creating bridge: Protocol error

#1

For some reason my mosquitto server can’t connect to gBridge in the past couple of days. I downloaded a few other mqtt clients to check if I broke my mosquitto conf but those can’t connect either.

Is anyone experiencing the same thing?

Yes I’m experiencing the same. No outage reported on the status page. No announcement. No idea what’s happening.
Might be time to set up an alternative…NORA?

NORA already up and running since a few minutes ago
I spent 5h already today trying to figure out what’s happening with gbridge…

I should have checked here first. Spent a couple of hours debugging where my packages got lost and then upgrading my MQTT client without any success. My library reports Io(Os { code: 61, kind: ConnectionRefused, message: "Connection refused" }) but I’m not quite sure what else to check.

yeah, the outage is annoying. would be good to hear official word on the matter.

Trying to avoid jumping over to NORA, I like what kappelt has done, the pricing structure is good too (free option, cheap option, pay more option). I fear with NORA the lack of pricing structure at present means that people getting on board will be their demise (like many small IOT companies).

Thanks for letting us know. I’m sticking with gBridge
